Born in Abilene, Texas, Randy's perspective was forged through a troubled childhood, years of alcohol and drug abuse, his lived experience with mental illness, and many supernatural experiences. Randy brings a gritty, realistic perspective to his storytelling. He was inspired to write by his late mother as well as a profound supernatural experience in 2012. His poetry book, "A Tapestry of Trials and Praise," is a beautiful collaboration between Randy and his late mother, Patsy Ruth Lough. Drawing from decades of raw life experience, Randy has emerged as a voice for those who have navigated life's deepest trials. When he isn't writing, Randy draws inspiration from his family, his faith, and the belief that even the heaviest weight can be carried with grace.
