A Symbiotic Bond

Sophia is a despondent twelve year old orphan living with an absence of love. Lerinth is a Silver Great Dragon who has mourned her lost Rider for ten years. This story tells of their meeting and the bond of love that results. Sophia starts a new life in a completely different society, much more advanced than she is used to. Her journey to womanhood and her journey to understanding the Arcane Arts are entwined. She becomes one of the most powerful Arcane Wielders as several battles demonstrate. Her one wish is to meet the Keeper of Balance to help her sort though the myriad of deep dark Arcane secrets that she is privy too. Will she meet him and more importantly, will he accept her. Can she save the entire Elven Race from extinction and can she unravel the ethics involved?

I am a generalist rather than a specialist and as such I enjoy many things. I dislike political correctness unless in the context of a good joke. I am proudly Australian. Death ruled my childhood. I lost my mother when I was 3, Father at 11 and Foster Father at 13. It was difficult. I spent some time in an orphanage run by penguins. My child self has seen violence and death at first hand. At 14 I promised myself that no-one would ever touch me again and due to many years training in Martial Arts I have managed to keep this promise. While I enjoy this trait, I am also opposed to violence and am pleased that I have never been forced to damage another human being. I am divorced and have three wonderful children, all boys. We lived in an old Church that I converted to a home. That explains the loss of 5+ years of my free time. I put the bar where the altar used to be to keep the spirits happy. A flood destroyed it just in time for Christmas 2010. We now live in suburbia. I am a qualified counselor specializing in children’s issues, primarily dealing with conceptual thinkers.
