About the author

Tricia George has been painting professionally for over 30 years. Her career began in New York where she worked as a decorative artist after earning her degree in Art and Education from Dowling College. Tricia drew inspiration from wildlife and the natural world. In 2004, she moved to California to further her career as an artist. Her new environment surrounded her with new inspirations and transformed her art, while simultaneously creating new opportunities to exhibit her talent. Tricia kept a strong connection to painting wildlife while she continued to develop her talent and work for others. This constant creating in new and various forms allowed her to seamlessly develop her style, encompassing her years of experience into forms that have guided her to the artwork she creates today. A Picture Book About Relationships is Tricia's first book and was inspired by the painting on the cover. The dynamic found in The Turtle and The Snail inspired Tricia to create a book about relationships; how they come and go, as well as how they pop up when you least expect them. Pairing whimsical paintings with poetry, Tricia shows the importance of relationships that fill the lives of everyone. A Picture Book About Relationships is the first book Tricia was inspired to create using amusing animals to teach life's lessons, and more are in the works.
