Overview
When Keith Baldwin started his innocent and fun quest of "firsts" on January 1st, 2020, it ended up turning into a year like no other. A year where he did something EVERY day for the "first" time in his life. A year that turned into chaos, opportunity and a few unthinkable "firsts." Ride along as Keith takes you on a journey where we experienced a pandemic like 1918, unemployment and depression like the Great one in 1929, Civil unrest like the 1960s, and an election that brought back images of our Civil War. Although it was a year with "firsts", it also was a year when the author discovered his "WHY".

He believes he did the best job of his life for free, but he was paid more than he had ever been paid in his life, just in so many other ways. He hopes to pay it forward in some small way by sharing this book.

Inspirational Read I was given this book as a Christmas present and could not put it down. I love the concept of a year of firsts and am inspired to try something new. Most of the stories are extremely relatable and the author challenges you with many things that you can do. However, the author then takes the story to a different level with how he willed his business to survival during pandemic. Keith Baldwin is truly an inspiration in how to live life and support others. Seeing how Keith was able to work with others and think outside of the box to give Spikes a chance for survival was amazing. The book has challenged me to think of my own bucket list and what I would like to accomplish. I highly recommend this book. Read more

A Leap Year of Firsts I received this book on Christmas eve and finished it that evening. A very easy read. Now living in NH (retired) I love all the moments the author high lighted. The outside drug store, driving the speed limit, mooning his friend, a visit from licenses and inspections , but the most important was how the author saved his business and the jobs of all his employees.
