 These poems explore certain times, feelings and moments in the life of J T Milford. They touch on light, music, nature and things often hidden. Five sections divide the book. Some sections wander through images and places in the authors past. Some are feelings from two previous marriages, others are meditations on war, violence or peace. "Evocation" is a potpourri of thoughts, images and feelings about the abandonment of the ordinary for the sake of a spiritual quest.

About the author


John Thomas Milford, Jr was born on September 1, 1929, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He attended Lake Charles High School, McNeese College, LSU and Southwestern Louisiana Institute and graduated in 1952 with a degree in business. John served two years as a First Lieutenant in the Air Force during the Korean Intervention. He practiced public accounting as a CPA for forty years, retiring in 1995. JT's main interest are reading, writing, music, golf, traveling to the mountains and spending time on the beach.
