About the author
Martin Tucker confounded in 1968 and served as Editor in Chief of Confrontation Magazine for four decades. He is the author of five collections of poetry and six works of literary criticism. His essays, poems , stories and reviews have appeared in The New York Times Book Review, The Nation, The New Republic, The Saturday Review and elsewhere. He served on the executive board Pen American Center for 23 years and for two terms on the governing board of The Poetry Society of America. He is Professor Emeritus of Long Island University.
