Description

Our life journey with God is parallel to the life cycle of a butterfly. Upon reading this book, the reader will be connected to God's beautiful intentions for our own life through the transformation of a butterfly. The Egg The first stage of a butterfly is the egg. Life is hidden in the beginning. The egg seems to have no life, much like our lives prior to finding Jesus. The Caterpillar Once the egg breaks open, a caterpillar comes out. This stage is where we repent and turn to God, receiving our salvation in Jesus Christ. At this stage of a caterpillar, it eats as much food as it can to be prepared for the next stage of development. Like the caterpillar, God calls us to be fed and nourished on His word, daily. His word is our daily bread. Having His word in our hearts equips us for the life God calls us to live and to stand against the firing darts of the Enemy. How well we prepare in the current season will determine how well we perform in the next. The Chrysalis Once the caterpillar is filled up, it starts forming the cocoon. This is the stage where a chrysalis will form. As the chrysalis forms, it relies on the reserved food that it ate in the prior stage. While you cannot visually see what is occurring inside of the chrysalis, big changes are happening! While a chrysalis, the old former body breaks down and the new body is formed. When we give our lives to Christ, the old is gone and new life comes! While it seems like there is a lot of waiting in this season, it will not compare to the glory that will be revealed! A new season is coming to the caterpillar just as a new season is coming for you. Jesus fasted for 40 days, and He relied all on God for nourishment. He could withstand the temptations and trials because He had the word rooted in His heart. When God has us waiting, it's for a purpose. He is working in supernatural ways, working out everything that we are praying for. Even when you can't see it, He is still working. It's in the waiting where we learn the wonders of God. The Butterfly Like the curtain was torn from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51-53), the butterfly emerges out! It is released into a new purpose, God's purpose. Butterflies are pollinators and help produce fruit by spreading pollen throughout the earth. Our purpose in this earth is to spread God's light, producing fruit for the Kingdom of God, just like butterflies. Through this book, my hope is that the reader will relate this story to their own life God calls us them to and through: repentance, salvation, finding freedom through Jesus Christ, developing our relationship with God and others, serving and making an impact, walking out our purpose with Jesus and discipleship with His people.
