About the Author

Author Info

From New York to Silicon Valley and internationally, Gregory Mark Hill has worked with entrepreneurs and companies primarily focused on growth.

He discovered that even when issues that ranged from raising money to running a business were eventually solved, if the owners, executives or employees still suffered on the inside, the solutions didn’t matter, and the business ultimately suffered.

His new book shares how to clear the roadblocks to realizing your dreams for building a business, for being part of a wonderful family, or for simply creating joy in your life.

SAMSARA: Sanskrit: sam - sah' - rah

Cycles of Suffering when one is “attached” to the material world.

SAMSARA is a true story that shares my hard-earned and sometimes painfully funny insights — offering a path to break free from limiting cycles of attachment to
rediscover joy, resilience, and purpose with heart. We are all connected, and through reflection and intent, I hope this book empowers you to clear your roadblocks and embrace the abundance that surrounds us all.

My real story is about how my seemingly mainstream life — rising from a small-town background to high-tech finance in New York and Silicon Valley — was upended by a mysterious call to “Go to Tibet.” After relentless work, near-death experiences, and an unshakable sense of unease — a chance encounter with a “random” messenger warned me that unless I soon found a certain monk with “shining eyes,” that Death would find me first. What began as an unusual search turned into over a five-year journey of profound learnings as his last Student, where I was confronted with the Self-Cherishing Ego which forever changed my life and reframed my understanding of suffering or Samsara, adversity, ambition and transforming it into healing, inner calm, and joy in life.
