My passion and need to travel can be traced to my maternal grandmother—a librarian and inveterate traveler, who visited many places in the U.S. as well as four continents—read us stories and narratives that often involved characters and scenes from other cultures. To date, I have visited 64 countries and all 7 continents.

The book, printed in landscape form, traces the author's travels to 60 countries and all seven continents over the period of four decades. Coverage of each country consists of a full page of text, and a full facing page of photographs taken by the author that illustrate the text.
