I have always enjoyed the chilling feeling produced by a bump in the night or a fall breeze. It is the unnerving experience that I look to give my readers. Sometimes what puts us on edge is not something that can be questioned as real or not. There are times when what scares us is a smile from a stranger on a lonely subway ride.
