Hi there, and welcome to my profile page, I'm glad you're here. I'm Naomi Stan and my first book "Fear No Evil" is now available.

I was born in Philadelphia where I spent the first six years of my life. My father being a first generation Irishman, insisted we visit every historical monument or battlefield within a fifty mile radius of this historic city. My mother's family on the other hand had come to America before the revolution and had a member of her family serve with distinction in every war America fought.

When I was six, my family moved to California for my younger brother's health and I have to say the trip was quite an adventure. Three children under fourteen, a one year old baby, a father, mother and aunt all crammed into a black two door Ford with no air conditioning makes me wonder how we all managed to get their alive and in one piece.

I was in my mid-twenties, with an adopted son when I met and married a career officer in the United States Air Force. During our twenty-four years of service we lived in California, England, Nevada, Germany, South Carolina and finally upstate New York were we retired and now live.

It was while serving in England that the idea for "Fear No Evil" first took root, but it was several years before I was able to put my idea's down on paper. You might find it interesting to know that Thornwood, the house in which the story takes place is not only a real house, though with different name, but the house we lived in when we first arrived in England.

I hope you'll enjoy reading "Fear No Evil," as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Fear No Evil
The Diary of Julie Hammond

Book Review
Reviewed by K.C. Finn for Readers' Favorite

Tense and engaging right from the start, this is a mysterious work of thriller fiction that adds splashes of gothic horror to spice up its atmosphere. Fans of such intelligent genre-mashing are sure to appreciate Thornwood, which is almost a character in itself, as the house welcomes its new residents with gorgeously creepy descriptions and beautifully drawn scenery. Author Naomi W. Stan combines this talent for scene-setting with a relatable set of central characters to whom the unfortunate seem to cling, and a secondary set of characters from the past whose ghostly images become clearer and more terrifying as the tale progresses. What results is an excellent, intimate tale of haunting where you really root for the heroes, and overall it makes Fear No Evil: The Diary of Julie Hammond a superb read for fans of supernatural and dark fiction.
