Veronica Vasquez Garcia is a seasoned dance and fitness educator with over two decades of experience empowering children and adults through movement. As a curriculum developer, studio founder, and choreographer, Veronica has built an evidence-informed teaching practice that integrates somatic awareness, social-emotional learning (SEL), and fitness science to promote whole-person well-being.

Her Somatic SEL Framework™ bridges the gap between dance, emotional intelligence, and body-based education. Drawing from her certifications with AFAA (Group Exercise Instruction) and ACE (Personal Training), Veronica grounds her creative approach in the physiological principles of exercise science—focusing on posture, breathing, alignment, neuromuscular activation, and proprioceptive awareness.

Rather than emphasizing performance or perfection, Veronica’s pedagogy centers on confidence, regulation, and embodiment. Each session engages participants in mindful movement sequences that balance stability and mobility, effort and ease, and expression and reflection—core somatic principles consistent with ISMETA professional standards.

Her work addresses the multidimensional aspects of wellness:

  • Physical: strength, coordination, and flexibility through functional movement and breathwork.

  • Cognitive: self-awareness and emotional literacy through guided reflection and journaling.

  • Social: empathy, connection, and cooperative movement in community-based learning.

As the founder of JMM Dance Co., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and Elysiran™, a consulting and certification platform for educators and wellness leaders, Veronica has designed trauma-informed programs serving schools, nonprofits, and healthcare organizations. Her initiatives, including Moves Made 4 Me™ and Juan’s Mindset Method™, train instructors to implement body-first SEL practices that align with AFAA, ACE, and ISMETA principles of safety, inclusivity, and mindful facilitation.

Veronica’s teaching continues to inspire a new generation of educators who integrate science, spirit, and somatics—creating spaces where movement becomes a pathway to healing, learning, and empowerment.
