Tom Thrailkill retired from the aerospace/defense industry after 40 years in that profession in California. Born in Atlanta, he grew up in Brandon, Florida where five generations of his mother's family were from since settling there in 1891. Family history and genealogy have always been a passion of his. His father's family were original settlers of Hapeville, Georgia just south of Atlanta settling there from 1850 - 1871. Strong family ties to Memphis, Tennessee dating back to 1855 for over 100 years on his paternal grandmother's side laid the foundation for his debut book. Understanding our past and our roots through stories is our legacy for future generations. Tom now lives in Florida near the area where he grew up.
