Tim Knight has written about the use and effects of technology since his first book The World Connection was published in 1982. A resident of Silicon Valley for his entire adult life, Knight has authored two dozen books about computers, investing methods, and financial history. In 1992 he founded Prophet Financial Systems, which was selected by both Barron’s and Forbes as the best technical analysis website on the Internet.
After selling Prophet in 2005 to Ameritrade, Knight has focused his attention on the Slope of Hope website (slopeofhope.com) on which he has written over 30,000 articles about such topics as culture, theology, politics, the financial markets, and the media. He lives in Palo Alto, California with his family and a hodgepodge of animals. Solid State is his first novel.
