Susan often describes herself with the words of Lewis
Grizzard: "American by birth, Southern by the grace of God." She
attended the University of Alabama and Birmingham-Southern College. She enjoyed
a 25-year teaching career and adores retirement, especially its dress code.
Susan lives
in Alabama, where she enjoys tennis (a huge Federer fan), dancing (the Carolina
shag), piano (privately), and writing (usually done in the company of her cat).
She has been known to binge on serial TV. And Hershey kisses. Susan's other works, all in incipient stage,
concern caregiving for an Alzheimer's parent, a portrait of a close friend, and
the evolution of friendships. On the cusp of entering the social media fray,
