About the Author

Author Info

Shannon spent her childhood navigating the suburbs of the Midwest, a byproduct of her father’s long career with the railroad. Though she grew up in a stable, professional household, her world was turned upside down in 2016 when her father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Seeking a healthy outlet for her grief, Shannon turned to journaling and blogging—a practice that ultimately led to the publication of her first book, The Long Goodbye (2024).

Building on her mission of advocacy, Shannon released her second book, Silent No More, in 2025. This deeply personal work chronicles her journey through toxic relationships and her experience as a survivor of domestic violence and sexual abuse, empowering others to find their own voices.

With over 20 years of experience as an accomplished human resources executive, Shannon brings a professional depth to her writing and speaking. She holds a graduate degree from Colorado Christian University and has served on the boards of both the Colorado and Texas Restaurant Associations. Today, Shannon is a proud mother of two adult sons and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
