Dr. Scott Lingen is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice. Dr. Lingen earned The Degree of Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from the Wright Institute, Berkeley. Dr. Lingen completed both his predoctoral internship and his postdoctoral residency in San Francisco, California, at the Sutter Health California Pacific Medical Center, CPMC, one of California’s largest and most prestigious hospitals. During Dr. Lingen’s residency in the Department of Psychiatry at CPMC, he held the position of Chief Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow. In addition to his work as a psychotherapist, Dr. Lingen specializes in the field of Diagnostic Psychology. He is a contracted Diagnostic Psychologist for the US Department of Labor, and he has also worked as a contracted Diagnostic Psychologist for the US Department of Veterans Affairs, having personally conducted over seven hundred face-to-face psychiatric evaluations of active duty US military personnel and military veterans who have fought in wars ranging from World War II to Afghanistan. Dr. Lingen has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, where he received the Stanley Price Award for outstanding instruction to his students, and he is an adjunct faculty member at CPMC, instructing psychology doctoral interns and psychiatry residents in Psychiatric Clinical Laws and Ethics. Dr. Lingen lives with his wife and soul mate of forty-five years, Laura, in the beautiful Alhambra Valley of Northern California. " />
