Silvija Diana Lechowick was born near Liepaja, Vitin Muiza, Latvia. Along with her family she immigrated to America after WWII. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, she worked as a psychiatric social worker until the births of two daughters.
Silvija has been writing short stories most of her life. Having enjoyed observing life, and the little lessons that can be learned by such observations, she has decided to share her thoughts in a serious, yet humorous and endearing way, via her first book, The Tale of Little ZerO and Bully 9. Many more books are to follow under the main heading of Scientific Fairytales for Children.
Presently Silvija enjoys working on her stories, as well contributing her own artwork, artwork done with great love. She also enjoys taking care of her household, and spending time with her four grandchildren. A side hobby is playing with her three home-kittens, as well as taming and socializing 7 feral neighborhood kitties.
Since the basis of Silvija's philosophy about life revolves around an attitude of gratitude, she is very grateful to have this opportunity to share her life and her stories with her readers.
