Sam Sidiqi is the proud father of Jasmine Sidiqi, whose curious questions and everyday conversations inspired this story. He is the founder of Afghan Peaks, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding outdoor access and building opportunities for young people in Afghanistan’s mountains. That work led him to become the first Afghan national to summit both Mount Everest and Denali as part of his journey. Sam lives in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, where he continues answering Jasmine’s big questions, sharing adventures, and encouraging young readers to explore their own mountains with courage and wonder.
