Reinfred Dziedzorm Addo is a writer, and author of the poetry collections Washed Over...Or, Things Dedicated and The Dedicadas: A Chapbook (shortlisted for the GAW Literary Awards and finalist for North Street Book Prize). Originating from the Volta Region of Ghana—roots in Akome, Adidome, and Dodome—he migrated to Roanoke, Virginia, where he spent his adolescent years. He currently lives in Gainesville, Florida. Other places of significance are Accra (Ghana) and Radford (Virginia).
Addo’s creative writing, in general, has been recognized with awards such as the Nan Lacy Poetry Chapbook Contest and has appeared in publications such as Land and territory (anthology), Masques: Poetry of Identities (anthology), and Tampered Press (literary journal). In addition, his health humanities creative writing has been published in Signs of Life (anthology) and by the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders (of the United States).
His non-writing interests include speech-language pathology, music, track-and-field athletics, graphic design/visual arts, and photography.
