Tanya Mitchell was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She’s a May 1987 graduate of Vanderbilt University, and she received her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law. She has practiced law in the areas of Entertainment Law and Family Law since 1992, and in February, 1999, she started her current law firm, The Law Office of TMG, PC, where she enjoys maintaining her private law practice in the areas of Family Law, Business Law, Entertainment Law, Contracts and Trademarks.

For years, the author would encounter female clients who were wildly successful in their professional careers, but privately, they would be subjected to constant verbal and mental abuse from a narcissistic husband or companion who she just couldn't find the strength to leave. Then, after almost 17 years of marriage herself, the author realized that she, too, stayed in an unhealthy relationship for years longer than she should have. The author kept finding excuses to stay in a deplorable, toxic relationship until one day she decided that she had to save herself or die unhappy.

Her first book, "Save Yourself (Before You Change Your Mind)” is a daily motivational that was birthed from the author's own personal experience and through her work over the past 28 years representing amazing women stuck in relationships with men who are simply unworthy. The author found that some professional women have difficulty in exiting unhealthy personal relationships for a variety of reasons. On many occasions, as an attorney, the author would find herself counseling these divorcing professional women, who were a public success, but living a private personal nightmare.

"Save Yourself (Before You Change Your Mind)" highlights the daily struggle in regaining self-love, self-respect, and the inner strength to move on - before you change your mind!
