Author Info

Linda Weber writes novels based on true events, personal essays, and memoir. Her essay, Katherine, won first place in the Writers of the Purple Sage writing contest. Her memoir essay, Return to Utopia, permanently resides on the www.storyhouse.org website for stories that must be told and remembered. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon in speech communications and journalism, a mother of two, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of two. She has owned several businesses, been a non-profit executive director, and was named the Women in Business Advocate of the Year by the US Small Businesses Administration. She served as President of the Henderson Writers Group, sponsor of the Las Vegas Writers Conference, and currently facilitates the Sisters Writes read and critique group in Sisters, OR, where she resides with her husband, Dennis, their Bichon Frise dog, Jilly, and Snowshoe Siamese cat, Houdini. Her debut novel FINDING UTOPIA is set in the small Texas town where her father was born and where the events that formulated the story took place.

June 10, 2023 - Meet the Author and book signing at the Historical Novel Writers of North America Conference, San Antonio, TX, Marriott River Walk, 5-7 PM. Open to the public.

June 11, 1-3 PM - Official book launch for FINDING UTOPIA, Sabinal Canyon Museum, Utopia, TX, Sunday. Presentation, History as Fiction: A Night of Terror, 1:15 and 2:15 P.M. Fundraiser for the Veteran's Memorial for the Utopia Town Square. Admission by donation, all proceeds will be donated to the Sabinal Canyon Museum Foundation. Door Prizes and drawings.

June 23, 2022 - Wine, Books, and Banter: an Evening with Friends. Utopia Winery and Vinyard, Newberg, OR. Book signing, live music. Fundraiser for Ault and Teen Challenge, center for addiction treatment and recovery, Estacada, OR. $100 tax deductable donation, includes a complimentary bottle of the signature 2022 Sparkling Rose and a signed copy of FINDING UTOPIA. Tasting room will be open all evening. All proceeds will be donated to ATC. Door prizes and drawings.
