Linda Weber writes novels based on true events, personal essays, and memoir. Her essay, Katherine, won first place in the Writers of the Purple Sage writing contest. Her memoir essay, Return to Utopia, permanently resides on the www.storyhouse.org website for stories that must be told and remembered. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon in speech communications and journalism, a mother of two, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of two. She has owned several businesses, been a non-profit executive director, and was named the Women in Business Advocate of the Year by the US Small Businesses Administration. She served as President of the Henderson Writers Group, sponsor of the Las Vegas Writers Conference, and currently facilitates the Sisters Writes read and critique group in Sisters, OR, where she resides with her husband, Dennis, their Bichon Frise dog, Jilly, and Snowshoe Siamese cat, Houdini. Her debut novel FINDING UTOPIA is set in the small Texas town where her father was born and where the events that formulated the story took place.
