Author Info

Currently, I live in Reno, NV, in the shadows of the Sierra Nevada mountains. I served in the United States Navy, and hold a BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada. Eye of the Dolphin is my second novel. My first, Tiger Farms, was self-published in 2018.

On a personal note, I am a husband and father of two daughters. My wife is an instructor and also teaches mindfulness self-compassion. My daughters are grown and have very interesting careers.

Our family is into snorkeling, and we have traveled to several countries to experience the sea and the natural. It is these encounters with my family and the environment (and my dreams) that influence my writing, as well as my love for classical music. I think of my novels as symphonies, the impact of each note flowing within each page, character, and storyline. Individuals bantering back and forth with passion may be akin to a violin adagio or perhaps either a demure or dominating personality or action-oriented scene, might parallel a Mozart concerto or an influential Beethoven piece.

Although I write science fiction or adventure novels, there is always an underlying emotional theme about family and human interaction. My main characters have diverse feelings and do not always make the right decisions. My wish is that the reader will identify and relate to these imperfect individuals.

I also love nature and, at times, despise humans because we think we have all the answers. So, my novels offer an alternative to technology, to science. I believe humankind has lost its way because we have chosen to ignore or destroy the natural, that which exists inside all of us.
