M.K. Sholund, once a freelance writer with articles published in trade magazines in the early 2000s is now a published horror author with flash fiction and short stories published in anthologies like the 2025 Creatures, Crimes & Creative's Anthology and received honorable mentions in flash fiction contests. Her debut non-fiction book, 150+ Prompts: A Creative Writer’s Journal released May 2025, was inspired by working with writers with the Maryland Writers Association and a critique group where she currentlythe Carroll Chapter president of MWA. M.K. is also a member of the Horror Writer’s Association, a speaker, and manages a Substack called Horror on the Page. M.K. lives in Baltimore County, Maryland with her husband and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and loves making lollipops.
