Mal Glowenke is a pioneering force in the lesbian podcast scene, turning rejection into a successful platform that highlights queer voices. When traditional media overlooked her vision, Mal used her community’s support to create "Made It Out," which quickly gained popularity, attracting over 400K followers within its first year, and earning a Webby Award Honoree for Best Video Podcast Series as well as a 2025 GLAAD nomination for Best Podcast. The podcast, consistently ranking in Spotify’s Top 20 Society & Culture US Chart, features Mal’s raw discussions on the experiences of queer women.
