Mal Glowenke is a pioneering force in the lesbian podcast scene, turning rejection into a successful platform that highlights queer voices. When traditional media overlooked her vision, Mal used her community’s support to create "Made It Out," which quickly gained popularity, attracting over 400K followers within its first year, and earning a Webby Award Honoree for Best Video Podcast Series as well as a 2025 GLAAD nomination for Best Podcast. The podcast, consistently ranking in Spotify’s Top 20 Society & Culture US Chart, features Mal’s raw discussions on the experiences of queer women. Notable guests include Ali Krieger, Fortune Feimster, Dylan Mulvaney and more. Beyond the podcast, Mal has created and produced digital shows such as Made It Out (To The Polls) and Out For a Drive.
Mal is a prominent figure in the LGBTQ+ space. She is an LPAC board member and participates in events such as LA’s Pride in the Park, GLAAD’s Tidings, SXSW, was recently invited to attend the DNC as a creator, and was a speaker at organizing events last election season - establishing herself as a key voice in the community.
