Sandra Scofield is the author of eight novels, a memoir, a book of essays, a book of short stories (Swim: Stories of the Sixties), and two craft books, The Scene Book and The Last Draft. She was a 1991 finalist for the National Book Award for her novel Beyond Deserving. She has taught in the Iowa Summer Writing Festival for thirty years, and is a founding faculty member of the Lasell University Solstice MFA Program (since 2006). She has traveled widely and lived in five states, but is now settled in Missoula, Montana, in a multigenerational household that includes four dogs and a cat. She is an avid traveler and a painter.
