Libby June Weintraub is a mother, artist, writer, and poet. She was born in Western Australia and now lives with her husband, Stephen, in Santa Monica, California. In 2014, she gave birth to their stillborn child, Magnolia Grace. She Was Born: Words on Loss and Liberation is her first book, a collection of poems that have supported a path of healing. Her words shed light on the journey of recovery from the death of a baby and give voice to the experience of finding connection, compassion, joy, love, and understanding on the other side of loss. This book is a testimony of healing in the face of inexplicable grief.

Libby's work navigates the intersection between life and death, nature and art, psychology and spirituality. She explores how these themes can become pathways leading to deeper self-inquiry, allowing us to heal through grief and trauma. She hosts annual retreats for mothers who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss, helping them discover greater freedom through creative self-expression.
