Kyle Kinzie is a longtime hockey coach, executive leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for building healthier environments in sports and leadership.

With more than 40 years connected to the game and over 25 years behind the bench, Kyle has coached players across youth, prep, Tier I, and collegiate hockey while developing a philosophy centered on one core belief: performance is always downstream from environment.

His experiences in hockey shaped far more than his coaching career. Beyond the rink, Kyle has spent decades leading and scaling organizations, building and selling companies, and serving in senior executive and C-suite leadership roles across startup and Fortune 500 environments. Throughout both business and hockey, he observed the same pattern repeatedly: people grow best in environments built on trust, accountability, connection, and purpose.

At 19 years old, Kyle’s playing career was unexpectedly cut short after suffering a life-threatening pulmonary embolism caused by a rare blood clotting disorder. Forced to step away from the game as a player, he redirected his passion into coaching, leadership, and ultimately helping others rethink what youth sports environments should look like.

Kyle is the creator of the “3 Loves of Hockey” framework:
Love the Game.
Love the Environment.
Love Who We Become Through The Game.

His work challenges traditional youth sports culture by emphasizing long-term development over short-term validation and creating environments where players can thrive both on and off the ice.

Kyle is also the Founder and President of The Hockey Barn, a first-of-its-kind hockey development and community concept built around the philosophy of Train. Compete. Belong.

He lives in Georgia with his wife and children and remains deeply committed to growing the game through healthier environments, intentional leadership, and a lifelong love for hockey.
