"Running In The Dark", has already sparked the creation of a second book, "Further Distance Needed". The characters he writes about face real-life challenges, and while his stories come from the imagination, he believes people can relate to their situations closely.
Mr. Mortimer lives in a small town in New England, which is where he draws a lot of inspiration for his stories. Before becoming an author, Mr. Mortimer was a registered nurse for over 20 years. His experiences in the emergency room have given him the ability to put himself in someone else's shoes during some of the most desperate moments in their lives. He can see beyond the immediate problem to the best possible solution—solutions his characters need to find.
