Joy Gallegos was born and raised in Texas by a close, loving family. Her parents, Bob and Linda Adams, taught her; that being a person people can count on, is truly a worthy life goal, that prayer can get you through even the hardest times, and that strong faith in God makes every day better. She and her husband, Joe, have been married for 27 years. They now live on a small farm in New Mexico that hugs the Texas state line. They raised three amazing daughters that make them proud every single day. And, now they are blessed with two wonderful son-in-laws and 4 incredible grandkids.
Joy, and her husband Joe, are friends with Larry Barker. So, they had the honor of watching Woopaa make history in Las Vegas in 2021. The experience inspired her first book. Joy knew that a story this remarkable needed to be told. And that kids everywhere should know how friendship inspired a very cool name for a very special bull.
Joy's dad, Bob Adams, has been an artist for over 60 years. So, when Joy decided to write her first book, it made sense to ask her Dad to paint the pictures that would tell the story. Bob put his heart into the pages of her book to make sure that everyone that reads it would love it as much as we do.
Joy's daughter, Taylor Gallegos, created the beautiful backgrounds for the introductory pages in her first book.
