Words and images. Beauty is everywhere and I am grateful to be able to experience so much of it here in Santa Barbara, California, which I fell in love with so many years ago and was fortunate enough to come back a few years ago.

This is a special place ... the wrinkled Santa Ynez mountains form a backdrop for our city and the Channel Islands dot the wide expanse of the Pacific Ocean in front of us.
The channel is a whale freeway and the whole area is a diversity hotspot and a focal point of the University of California, Santa Barbara which just happens to be my next door neighbor.
