Jim Parker was born in Ohio, raised in Massachusetts, and has spent the past thirty-five years in Texas. In between, he has called nine states and two foreign countries home - years abroad that taught him what America looks like from the outside looking in.

A nearly ten-year Army veteran who served as both an enlisted soldier and a commissioned officer, Jim writes at the intersection of politics and religion - territory where most people lower their voices. He does not.

He is a direct descendant of the Reverend John Williams, the Deerfield minister taken captive in the 1704 raid and author of The Redeemed Captive Returning to Zion. Three centuries later, Jim writes in that same tradition of plain moral witness - the conviction that truth matters, that consistency matters, and that comfortable silence is its own kind of lie.

A husband, father, and grandfather, he lives and writes in Texas.
