Jeremy York has spent over 20 years watching leaders make the same costly mistake: they manage tasks while their people starve for connection.

As Lead Consultant and President of InvigorateHR, Jeremy has worked with hundreds of organizations across every industry—from manufacturing plants to healthcare systems to nonprofits—and he kept seeing the same pattern. Leaders focused on checking boxes while engagement plummeted, turnover soared, and innovation died.

That's why he wrote "People Not Tasks."

Drawing from two decades of real-world consulting, a Master's degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University, and certifications including SHRM-SCP and SPHR, Jeremy has developed the five-pillar framework that transforms how leaders build relationships with their teams. His approach has helped organizations achieve lower turnover, higher engagement, and better financial performance.

Jeremy is a professional speaker at national conferences including SHRM National and SHRM Inclusion, serves as Advisor to the SHRM Education Team, and sits on the board of The Damien Center. He's also co-author of "JoyPowered Organizations" and former adjunct faculty at Purdue University Indianapolis.

But his real credential? Twenty years of helping leaders discover that when you invest in people—when you build relationships based on trust, transparency, empathy, respect, and kindness—both people and profits thrive.

Because at the end of the day, people do the work.
