Jax Secord is a lifelong storyteller, devoted dog lover, and the creator of The Zoggies, a crookedly charming world of undead pups stitched together with friendship, mischief, and heart. Growing up in Seattle on a steady diet of fractured fairy tales and peculiar delights—from the eerie magic of stop-motion worlds to the whimsical strangeness of storybook adventures—she developed a deep love for stories that celebrate the wonderfully weird.
A winding career in technology eventually carried Jax halfway across the world to Australia, where she now lives by the bay with her partner Dave. When she writes, she often does so to the music of Danny Elfman, letting the cinematic melodies set the mood for the cobwebbed corners and candlelit charm of Willow Creek.
Today Jax spends her days dreaming up spooky-sweet adventures for the Zoggies, stories filled with crooked laughter, found family, and the belief that being different is something to celebrate.
Because in Willow Creek, different is delightful and peculiar is powerful.
