Brackette F. Williams, received a PhD in cultural anthropology from The Johns Hopkins University. Since retiring from the faculty of the School of Anthropology at University of Arizona, she lives in Tucson, combining creative photography and writing fiction with ongoing research in the anthropology of culture and history in North American and Caribbean societies.
