Jeff Shannon was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He went to college at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and graduate school at Drew Theological Seminary in New Jersey. He is an ordained United Methodist Minister.
He has lived in Mississippi small towns for many years. Now he lives on a farm with his wife, Mary, and their many animals. No characters in his newest book, The Masked Man and the Orphan Girl, are exactly like the people he has known and worked with, but there are some resemblances….
