Kim was born in Illinois, into a blue-collar, middle-class family. Kim’s parents were both artistic and always encouraged self-expression and the importance of family. Kim has earned her BA in Applied Behavioral Science, her MA in Counseling, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her work experience includes retail, hospice, pre-school teacher, school counselor, and adult protective services case manager. The one constant in Kim’s life has always been her writing. Kim lives with her husband and children and enjoys cooking, gardening, retail therapy, spending Sunday afternoons fishing with her husband, and always being with family.
