Brian Hall is the author of Not Afraid to Fall. He has lived for the majority of his life (44 years, as of 2020) with debilitating symptoms from Parkinson's disease. His journey has given him a unique perspective on how to maintain a positive attitude and outlook, which has helped him to find balance in his life.
Brian underwent brain surgery "DBS," (Deep Brain Stimulation) in 2007. Soon after, he became an active member of the Medtronic Ambassador Program. He offers other potential DBS patients insight into his own medical background and history. He hopes that by sharing this information with others, it will help to guide them in the healthiest direction possible. (Medtronic is a leading manufacturer of pacemaker technologies including all the components necessary for DBS.)
Today, Brian continues to be an active participant in his rural community in New England by mountain biking, ocean swimming, road cycling, sailing and working at a friendly public golf course.
