Marianne is a grandmother, retired teacher, author, poet, artist, and lover of life. She enjoys gardening with her grandsons and learning about herbs as well many other interests. Marianne holds a master’s degree in art education from the University of Illinois in addition to her bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education. She taught for over forty years. Since early childhood, she has dealt with reflux and IBS. Marianne has worked with somatic and Jungian therapists, many specialists, and natural healers, as well as spiritual guides.
For Marianne, the bottom line is:
Regardless of the disease, condition, or illness, our thoughts about our challenges shift everything. We may not be able to change what life has given to us, but we can face it with courage, acceptance, love, creativity, and offer others support. No one needs to experience the pain of IBS or other digestive disorders alone. And it is very possible to alter how you feel by diet and lifestyle changes!
