JENNIFER BARBOUR BUTLER, ESQ., served in The White House Counsel’s Office, appointed by United States President William “Bill” Jefferson Clinton. A graduate of the George Washington University Law School, she served as the president of the Black Law Students Association. She is also a graduate of The George Washington University in undergraduate studies where she was co-editor of an English Department publication. Mrs. Barbour Butler completed a Juris Doctor, a Bachelor of Arts, and acquired two examination-based Verified certificates from HarvardX in Justice and in Public Policy.  Mrs. Barbour Butler has also completed the esteemed National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), Building Trial Skills where she (and her partner) won their jury trial practice. Mrs. Barbour Butler began her career as an attorney in a boutique law firm, defending the utility and cell phone industries and as an Assistant General Counsel. Mrs. Barbour Butler defended and won a challenge, on the papers, to the mausoleum of former esteemed Washington Post former executive editor Benjamin “Ben”  Bradlee. She was quoted in The New York Times in connection with that case. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/12/us/ben-bradlees-mausoleum-washington.html  Mrs. Barbour Butler worked for a Superior Court Judge, under contract for private law firms including the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, and in two divisions at The Library of Congress, including other stints in the federal service. Mrs. Barbour Butler founded a non-profit organization in 2014, in honor of her parents, to give back to high school students. She has delivered lectures to hundreds of high school students in various high schools on How To Succeed In College which has earned her favorable student reviews. She enjoys prayer and Bible study, spending time with family, lovely atmospheric restaurants, traveling, fashion, political discussion, sports of all kinds, like foil fencing, tennis, cycling, and walking.  Mrs. Barbour Butler enjoys organic gardening, juicing, natural foods and remedies, documentaries, bird watching/feeding, and yard beautification. Mrs. Barbour Butler resides in the D.C. metropolitan area with her family, her husband - a U.S. military war veteran, and her beloved miniature poodle.
