I have worn quite a few different hats in my lifetime, sometimes several at once.  I have been, for instance, a college English professor, a Great Lakes charter boat captain, an organizer of three deep Amazon Jungle expeditions, owned and operated an apple orchard, been an extraordinary phenomena investigator, a professional bird photographer, and am an author of 14 books, both print and digital. Incidentally, all of my works, except for an early book of short stories, were published after I was 50 years old.  It wasn't until after I gave up teaching and built a house in the Wisconsin woods, mostly with my own hands, that I became serious about my writing and bird photography.  Looking back, I now believe it was necessary for me to break away from the clamor and distractions of city life to discover what was most important to me.  Luckily, I finally found the right mate, which made things a lot easier.

My 14 books have an assortment of topics.  Most are nonfiction.  The titles are: Wild Bird Photography: How, When, Where, Bird Photography Essentials, Extraordinary Bird Photos and How to Capture Them Vol. 1, Extraordinary Bird Photos and How to Capture Them Vol. 2, Extraterrestrials in Biblical Prophecy and the New Age Great Experiment, When Men are Gods, Discovering the Lost Pyramid, Surviving Catastrophic Earth Changes, 2011 -- The Evacuation of Planet Earth, Discovering Ruins and Rock Art in Brazil and Peru, Man's Quest for Immortality from Ancient Times to the Present, The Book of Wounds, and Yakawazy and Other Stories.
