Author, Joy S. Taylor, is the daughter of a coal miner's daughter, mother of five, grandmother of fourteen, and counting. Married for thirty-three plus years, she is now divorced and growing into Paul's understanding of singleness. She retired from spending work days, using the Master of Science in Accounting degree she earned at the age of, well, greater than forty. Joy led a divorce recovery support group for seven years with a passion toward Christ-centered healing from the devastation of divorce. She also spent ten plus years as a leader in Celebrate Recovery. God prompted Joy to reach out with her gift of encouragement to start Joy in Verse Ministry, Inc., a non-profit corporation that serves as the framework of her online outreach through social media, including podcast episodes. Many of the vignettes are readings of poems included in Finding Brighter Days. Who doesn't need encouragement? Our lives are a mix of up and down days. Sometimes we find ourselves sideways, wondering how we got there. There is something in each of our histories to be overcome. "Finding Brighter Days" will take you through days of loving, questioning, change, randomness, loss and certainty experienced by the author. Joy S. Taylor brings her gift of encouragement to each day, knowing God's promise that He holds us securely within His victorious right hand, going ahead of us through the high waters, through the flames, and into His grace.
