Molly Brewer Bio

Molly Brewer is a film and advertising producer, artist, and writer.

A successful, award winning motion content producer with over 30 years in film and advertising working with some of the most iconic people like Johnny Cash, Dennis Hopper, Jennifer Garner and Walter Cronkite too mention a few. With passion, Molly has produced films for the preservation of history with “Black History of McKinney” and “A Patchwork of Time” comprised of precious interviews of seasoned storytellers and citizens combined with archival photos. Awards include the Eagle Award for Producer of the year, Multiple Addy awards and EFFIE awards. She has worked to produce content that is impactful, no matter the obstacles. As a writer, Molly has written countless poems with a current work in progress book “365 Days of Pour”. In 2015 she wrote, illustrated, and published her first children’s book “Evergreen through the Knothole”.

With a lifetime love of art, Molly has created works across multiple mediums, oil, acrylic, and clay sculpture. Commissioned in portraits, large scale murals, interior, and exteriors buildings. Molly is a certified Native American TERO artist with the Cherokee Nation. Her latest work “Freedman Dance at Fort Gibson” in oil will be on display in the National Cherokee History Museum this upcoming fall in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

 

Serving as the chair for the McKinney Arts Commission for the past 7 years, Molly has proudly been a part of bringing world renowned exhibits, murals, sculptures, art education and tools to the community. Serving on the BOD for Main Street McKinney from 2007- 2015. Molly also created an image campaign in 2006 for downtown McKinney that highlighted the vibrant, thriving downtown. Working alongside great people who have developed and have encouraged the arts in McKinney, Molly was one of the group of people who worked to help make the downtown district a state certified designated Cultural District.

 

Molly’s passion for the arts, creating content and community is driven by the love for people, to be able to share positive messaging, for all, with the gifts and abilities she has been given.
