Although he's a Texas native, David Bottoms early developed a need to see America and learn as much as possible about its people, traditions and cultural history.
After college and four years in the Army he began to seriously pursue writing, both fiction (he's seeking an agent) and nonfiction (as a journalist and critic). He collects too many things - records, comic books, stamps, coins and old paper ephemera, and is hard-pressed to find room for it all. He loves travel, and has been rewarded by even the shortest trips and mundane jaunts. He loves food, beer and any occasion to meet, have a meal or a visit and thus create memories. He adores cats.
He and his wife Deanna currently live in Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana, the city of his youth.
