In a world before social media and before raves and nightclub entertainment went corporate and before large nightclubs were demolished and turned into high-rise buildings. there was a place where nightclub promotional art lived large, and was the visual language for nightlife culture.

Clubs and promoters would try to grab attention and attempt to outdo each other with who had the most elaborate flyer on the street, a promoters club flyer design in some cases weighed more heavily on an audience than who was performing at an event.

In the ’90s these vibrant art pieces littered the streets and were stacked high in every club, record store and street clothing store of every major city on this planet.

Club Flyer designers had such an influence on street culture it eventually altered the way design was approached in the corporate world from video games, sports promotions, automotive magazine design, print promotional material for energy drinks, and a countless number of font foundries that stretched their boundaries and created more artistic fonts to keep up with the growing number of designers.

These artists opened up a new door and the effects of their creativity still are seen in art today.
