I love writing and I hope to help restore the love of reading.
This little hobby has opened up doors that never existed before–both professionally and personally. I've began writing novels in 2016 and never intended to publish. My wife encouraged me to share these stories with the world, to really put myself out there. Before publishing The Muse in September 2018, nobody besides close family knew about this side of my life. Not close friends, not co-workers that I see every day, almost like living a double-life. My biggest fear was that I would expose this dream to the world, and nothing would ever come of it. I only wanted people to know something when there was actually something to know. It felt like a dirty little secret, this obsession of mine–especially with the subject matter involved in The Muse.
I'm married, I've bought a home, but publishing that novel was the scariest thing I've ever done. My initial goal was to sell one book. But when it was announced, the outpouring of love and support I received was overwhelming. Keeping it to myself was the right decision, but now the secret's out.
My second novel is titled, INFERNAL GLOW, with a release date of April 28, 2019. This is a novel I'm extremely proud of, one that I've been working on since the beginning. I can't wait to share it.

Charles T. Daube has lived his life in the heart of the Appalachians. After enlisting in the Air Force, he developed a new love and appreciation for the world. But of all his journeys, nothing has compared to the discovery of love he has found in his wife, Heather. They live in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia with their yellow dog and black cat.
Charles' love for writing has been inspired by many of the modern legends of the pen. Chuck Palahniuk, George R.R. Martin, Dean Koontz, John Green, Mary Roach, Cormac McCarthy, and of course, Stephen King.
