"Five Seconds Of Dead Air" introduces the first volume of "The Misadventures of Max Mason". Called "A Romance Novel With Machine-Guns", "Five Seconds Of Dead Air" brings a new "action hero" into the literary world.

Retired Navy SEAL & former Secret Service agent Maxwell "Max" Mason was living a quiet life in the suburbs of Washington D.C. when an old friend & mentor asks him for a favor that will change his life forever...he doesn't hesitate. He's asked to save his friend's granddaughter & the daughter of the President of the United States held hostage by a terrorist who has a violent past with Max...and wants him dead for his own personal reasons.

To complicate matters, the woman Max had feelings for when he left the Secret Service, is now responsible for the protection of the President's daughter but being held hostage as well.

Along with his two best friends, also retired SEAL's; one a tech wizard, the other a popular television star; they have to breach a "highly secured" government broadcasting facility where a charity fundraiser is being hosted by the children of the world's most prominent government leaders...being broadcast world-wide.

Max and his team have to rescue the young hostages, save the girl that got away, and fight off heavily armed mercenaries; with a few surprises & laughs along the way knowing that "Five Seconds Of Dead Air" could mean the difference between everyone getting out alive...and all HELL breaking loose !!!
