Born in Indiana and raised in Florida, I first earned a degree in voice and then went on to complete two Masters' Degrees in Theology and Religion. From the late 1980's through 2006, I was employed in the areas of child welfare, domestic violence and staff development while continuing to have various part-time ministry positions. I was also a training consultant throughout New York State for the Department of Children and Families. Additionally, I wrote and delivered training curricula for several agencies in NY. After returning to Florida, I was engaged in full-time ministerial although I have since retired. I was initially ordained by the Southern Baptist Convention in the late 1970's. My spiritual journey has led me far from my early training, vocation, and commitment, but I value those experiences as they gave me invaluable insight and skills. My journey has been a protracted one weaving from conservative evangelical Christianity through years of various pathways of exploration to several Energy Healing modalities, all things Celtic, and various forms of Shamanism. I am a Level Three Reiki practitioner, a certified Animal Reiki practitioner, and a Shamanic Practitioner. I am an artist, poet, writer, public speaker, and musician. I am also a survivor of a life-time of mental illness and have explored the relationship between mental illness and spirituality for decades.
