Carol Fontanese is an author, retired Army civilian, and retired United States Army Reserve officer whose life has been dedicated to serving others. She holds degrees in Music Therapy, Public Policy, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. During a distinguished career in Safety and Occupational Health, Carol spent many years living and working in Germany, protecting the health and safety of Soldiers, Army civilians, and contractors. She proudly served 28 years as an officer in the United States Army Reserve. Her greatest calling, however, came when she and her sister became full-time caregivers for their aging mother during the final years of her life. That experience inspired her memoir, Two Daughters' Destiny: Caregiving for Mom, a heartfelt tribute to love, resilience, faith, and the extraordinary bond between family caregivers and those they cherish. A lifelong musician, Carol believes in the power of music, storytelling, and preserving family history. She is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and she enjoys writing, traveling, and inspiring others to capture the stories and legacies that connect generations.
