Jeanette Lelchitski is a lifelong book-lover, mother, and English teacher. She remembers the soaring joy of finally figuring out how to tie her shoes while riding in a shopping cart at the grocery store. She lives in Maryland with her two daughters, husband Mike, and two very adventurous cats.
Thomas Budesheim, like the character of our book, was born with one hand and faced many of the same challenges. Learning how to tie his shoes was one. Another was how to kick a football. He has two grown children, two adult grandchildren, and lives with his wife in a Maryland suburb near Washington, DC.
Jake Rich is an Illustrator based in Massachusetts and has been drawing since he could properly wield the tools necessary to do so. From a young age his creativity was fueled by the many cartoons, animated movies and video games of his childhood, leading him to cultivate his passion for creating art.
